Life Would Be Boring And Unbearable If We Know It All... Mankind Goal Is To Endlessly Explore Uncharted Territories... There Is No Limit To What We Can Discover. We Can Satisfy Our Unsatisfying Curiosity, Filling Our Ignorance With Knowledge... IGNORANCE Therefore Is BLISS!
Just read SerenaDante post about her mom wanting her to shutdown her xanga account. This is really a difficult subject. Conflict between what some people consider as morals and free will; the choice you want to make for yourself. Our parents have responsibility and they try to shape us into the person they want us to be. Their effort no doubt is good and I believe we should love them the way they love us.
But are they always right? What about free will and personal choice?
So xangans, I want you to express your views and opinions on this subject.
Ponder on this: "If your daughter is hell bent on being a porn star; What would you do?"
How should we interpret Haldane's 'queerer than we can suppose'? Queerer than can, in principle, be supposed? Or just queerer than we can suppose, given the limitation of our brains' evolutionary apprenticeship in Middle World? Could we, by training and practice, emancipate ourselves from Middle World, tear off our black burka, and achieve some sort of intuitive - as well as just mathematical - understanding of the very small, the very large, and the very fast? I genuinely don't know the answer, but I am thrilled to be alive at a time when humanity is pushing against the limits of understanding. Even better, we may eventually discover that there are no limits.--- Closing paragraph of Richard Dawkins in The God Delusion
We are the children of chaos, and the deep structure of change is decay. At root, there is only corruption, and the unstemmable tide of chaos. Gone is purpose; all that is left is direction. this is the bleakness we have to accept as we peer deeply and dispassionately into the heart of the Universe. ___ Peter Atkins in The Second Law
Time was 11:17 pm. At the penthouse of former MFM guest house building, I was looking back at the day... Two events strucked me hard and threw me in pensive mood. The first almost swept me off like a tornadoes flying a piece of paper ... Around 1:00 pm, I was sitting at the Faculty of Science quadrangle and a poster on a bill board got my attention... I was strucked to see an obituary of Fadojutimi Taye Oluwole. I stood still staring at picture in the poster and thinking this can only be a dream... Taye dead? This is unbelievable... Death can be so painful... The only power and painful force that could take anything it desire... But why? Why Taye? I could not get an answer. This is depressing... I cannot bring Taye back No one can... So I pay this last respect to you
Tribute to Taye
"Taye you are a friend I want to KNOW But death has deprived me that chance The striking memory of you I have goes thus: Your style of walking is something others envy In it they get the message The world is yours to take and own Your stout massive body crushes the millions Of sands and microbes populations under your muscular feet The shadow-cast of your giant body is a threat that makes the living forms that is unfortunate to come under it tremble with great fear... Your charm and harmless smile is a great weapon Its intent is not to destroy But to command attention and acceptance among your peers Your Aura and expression is mild and wonderful... The great seas and the stars of the Universe would shiver at your loss You came 23 years ago and left too quickly We shed glistening teardrops to mourn you With a painful heart we wish you a better 'Afterlife' With a burdened spirit we wish you A better transcendence to the 'Beyond' University of Lagos will MISS YOU Faculty of Science will MISS YOU You are YOUNG And will be FOREVER YOUNG In our heart and mind Tribute to You
The second event is about my total dissatisfaction with thing that happen around me...
